No doubt everyone is digesting the reality of heading back into stage three restrictions. It is the light at the end of the tunnel that gives hope, and for that to be taken away and be back where we started is tough. For workers, the stress and anxiety will return, and for businesses, the need to focus on keeping our workers safe and support  once again becomes paramount. 

 

Here is 4 tips to help you refocus on keeping your team safe and supported in the challenging weeks ahead. 

 

Ensure you have best practice processes in place to reduce any risk of exposure to COVID -19 in the workplace. Safe work Australia has great resources for different industries to effectively manage the risks posed by COVID-19.

Proactively manage the risks posed to workers working from home.  Your work health and safety duties extend to when an employee is working from home.  Your business has a duty to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all employees whilst at work. Working from home fits into the definition of ‘at work.’ You should therefore approach working from home in regards to safety the same way you would working in the office.
